$25 BUYS A NEW ESPRESSO MACHINE!
Well, not exactly, but it will sure help us buy one for the shop!
As part of our effort to fund our hoped-for renovation, we have 15 more days to meet our goal of a $10,000 interest free loan through Kiva (www.kiva.org). Want to help us out? Go to our Kiva link, https://www.kiva.org/lend/1256241, and you can lend us as little as $25 towards our goal. Kiva is an international lending organization connecting lenders and small businesses who are trying to make a difference, for themselves, their families, and their communities. For these last 15 days of our effort, all loans will receive a 100% match. Lend us $25, we get $50 towards our goal. As of today, 48 lenders have joined in to help us buy a new espresso machine for The Little Dog. But we need to raise the entire $10,000 in loans to receive any.
You will be paid back in just 3 years. What will you do with all that 70 cents being plowed back into your bank account every month for the next 3 years? Think of the possibilities!!

Goes without saying, but Little Dog customers are the absolute best!
Greetings from the dungeon (my Little Dog Office)! Today is our 12th Anniversary. Hard to believe, at least for me. Won't take up to much space except to say thanks to all of you who have made the Little Dog a nice place to be. We serve the coffee, but you all make this place special. My message on this anniversary is to simply reiterate our mantra, and that is -
We don't care who you vote for, who you pray to, or who you sleep with. All are Welcome!
Please spread the word, now more than ever. Peace.

When did you get interested in painting with coffee and why?
As I said I have always loved drawing, but I stopped doing it for years. After finishing my degree I remembered how drawing (in a more artistic way) had always made me feel better and I decided that it was the perfect activity to fill my time while taking a break. It all started as a hobby but it changed the moment I decided to start sharing my work on social media. I was not so good back then but with the support of some loyal followers I decided to keep going. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot to improve but after a couple of years, every day I am better than the day before.
After trying a lot of techniques and a couple of styles I came across an artist who worked with coffee, Maria A. Aristidou. At that point, I needed something that made me stand out from the rest of artists because I was not good enough with colored pencils or with other traditional techniques so I decided to give coffee a try. I have always liked being creative and coffee gave me a lot of new possibilities. I fell in love with it after finishing my first piece and I have not stopped using coffee since then. I guess it is going to take me longer to become a great artist without that background but with faith and passion—and coffee—I hope to achieve a great level one day.

Little Dog Fundraiser for Mark Caron’s Family
The Little Dog Coffee Shop will donate all profits from the sale of our bicycle jerseys and bib shorts to Mark Caron’s family. As many of you know, Mark died suddenly this past spring, leaving his wife Karyn and daughters Anna and Emily. This effort will continue through October.
Designed by local graphic artist, Celina del Castillo, and made for the Little Dog by Castelli, the Italian-based high-end cycling apparel company, this eye-catching gear is race or fun ride ready and one of the most well-made kits you will ever wear. I can tell you from experience, those body parts that feel it first will thank you for your purchase on those long hard rides. We have both men and women’s fit, in sizes ranging from Small to XXXL. Please feel free to try them on while you’re in the Little Dog.
Thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing more of these kits on the road soon.
Who knew that so many folks would show up to watch this live latte art video on the Facebook page of Tastemade Studio? Clearly, there is an audience for coffee + art. Which one is your favorite?
Meet Lindsay. This is her project: Fifty Coffees. In between jobs, she took some wise advice, and determined to meet, over coffee, with 50 different individuals, asking questions, gleaning ideas, taking notes. We think she may be on to something.
